NEW EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES UNDER ”FUTURE FOUNDERS” PROGRAMME

The team of Foundation Garden of Cognition begins conducting new educational activities under the “Future Founders” program of Champions Factory.
Students from the Vocational High School of Agriculture, Kuklen and the Vocational High School of Viticulture and Enology “Hristo Botev”, Perushtitsa will embark on new and exciting topics related to career guidance, professions of the future, a healthy lifestyle and others.
The program will be held in the period February – May 2025.
We thank the management of the two vocational high schools for the partnership and Champions Factory for the trust they have placed in us.

ME – CITIZEN OF EUROPE 

On October 19 /Saturday/ from 10:00 to 18:30 in the village of Novakovo, another event of Foundation “Garden of Cognition” will be held, part of the “Time to move” campaign.
In it, participants will have the opportunity to engage in group tasks and discussions on the topics of learning about Europe and international friendships.
The training itself will happen within one day. It is planned that the first sessions in the morning will be related to getting to know the participants, building good group dynamics. In the afternoon, young people will take on the role of their peers from other countries, learn about their experiences and experiences through the Eurodesk network, together with the Erasmus + and European Corps programs and will have to present them to others. They will work together on a European map of opportunities, which will serve as a guide and for visualizing the specific goals of the program and the event. After the experiential part, reflection will be made and plans will be made to share and disseminate the acquired knowledge among their peers. At the end, each participant will receive a book to enrich and build on what they learned during the day.

UPCOMING MOBILITY FOR YOUTH WORKERS 

At the invitation of our partner Neslihan Yonal from the Directorate of National Education in Ankara, Turkey, we joined the international project “Step Up Yout Work” under the program KA 153- Mobility for youth work under the Erasmus + program.
The project is implemented with partners from Turkey, Croatia, Portugal, Germany, Italy, Romania and Bulgaria. It is aimed at managers, youth workers, youth leaders and trainers working with underprivileged groups. One of its main goals is to build various competencies among the target groups, to popularize non-formal education methods, to improve cultural differences and others.
In the period December 2-6, four trainers from Foundation “Garden of Cognition”  will participate in the training, which will be held in Ankara, Turkey.
We hope that this will be the beginning of a long-term and fruitful partnership and that what we have learned will be transferred to our young people in Bulgaria!

ONE YEAR FOUNDATION ”GARDEN OF COGNITION”

On June 23, from 10:00 to 12:30, we will celebrate the First Birthday of Foundation “Garden of Cognition”. We have prepared something for everyone… An interesting musical program, a children’s workshop and a nonformal activity for our young people.
We will be waiting for you in high spirits for an exciting musical journey on the square in front of the monument in the village of Novakovo.

CREATIVE WORKSHOP FOR CHILDREN IN THE VILLAGE OF NOVAKOVO

On May 25, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., a creative workshop for children from 8 to 12 years of age will be held in the village of Novakovo, Asenovgrad Municipality. In it we will look at the origin of names and their choice in each family; we will remember the holidays we celebrate; the crafts kept in the grandparents’ house; we will look for interesting tools from the everyday life and culture of Bulgarians. We will tell interesting stories of our parents, ancestors and draw in nature. And for the most curious, we have prepared a surprise.
We are waiting for you on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. in front of the monument of priest Angel Cholakov.

EVERY SATURDAY AT 19:00 FOLKLORE DANCE GROUP “NOVAKOVTSI”

Every Saturday our group for folklore dances ‘’Novakovtsi” meets to learn and practice the traditions and dances of a new folkore district.

The activity is carried out by the tireless Nikolay Nikolov /manager of the “Garden of Knowledge” Foundation/ and with the support of community center “Hristo Botev-1928”!

You are welcome to join our group of folklore dance group ”Iskrentsi” every Saturday at 17:00 in Community Center ”Ivan Vazov – 1896″. 

EUROPEAN YOUTH WEEK – THE FOOTSTEPS OF YOUTH ACTIVISM 

On April 13 (Saturday) at 10:00 a.m., a unique educational event will be held in the village of Novakovo, which will include activities to improve the space of the park in the center of the village with the involvement of young people and residents of the neighboring villages and towns.

During the day, the participants will go through the roles of :

– Me as a citizen;

– Me as a volunteer;

– Me as an activist.

Who is the event for?

Children, young people and all residents of the village of Novakovo, neighboring villages and towns.

During the event, the participants will be introduced to the topics of civic engagement, volunteering and the role of each citizen as an activist and a factor in the development of society.

The event will start with educational activities related to the essence and importance of youth participation and volunteering, the role of the active citizen in the decision-making process. After the training sessions, an action will be held to improve the park, located in the center of the village – painting benches, cleaning beds and planting them with plants, a symbol of the active civic participation of young people.

In this way, the aim is to create a sustainable vision of unity and unification of society, following the line of civic participation and inclusion of young people in the decision-making process.

The activity is also implemented with the support of the Mayor of the village of Novakovo and the “Hristo Botev -1928” HC.
