Novakovo is a holy place, as if detached from the daily rhythm of the world and giving space for tranquility, peace, solitude and faith. Novakovo is rich in history and indomitable human spirit, creating a united, strong and unwavering community, ready to transform the present and give a swift direction for the future!
The last year for our tireless team of “Garden of Cognition” Foundation was extremely exciting, filled with many emotions and inspiration! Our activity, related to organizing and conducting trainings, creative workshops, educational hikes, cultural and space-enhancing events and initiatives, was transferred to the small villages and towns with which each one of us is connected personally, and in particular – Novakovo.
We are extremely happy that we participated in the traditional holiday of the village – Ascension.
However, the holiday is filled with a lot of love and mood, when Bulgarian folklore and folk dance conquer a person and reach the deepest place in his heart and soul. Bulgarian folk creativity and roots with our past are the wealth that each of us owns and should be proud of! So a few months ago, “big and small” began to gather on the stage and enter the beauty and emotion of Bulgarian folk dances!
A few months ago, the fields and the Balkans were shaken by the wild and bold steps of our folk dance group “Iskrentsi”. Every Saturday they leave their heart and soul in the local community center and prepare for the new dance, which will be even faster and even more playful!
For almost a year, every Saturday evening, the Novakovo Balkan echoes with the energy, spirit, smiles, shouts and quick step of our folk dance group “Novakovtsi”! And our left was right, and our right was left, but as soon as the music starts, not the body, but their soul plays and transports you to another world and dimension.
Always 2 is stronger than one, always together, united by a common mission, we are more inspiring! And this is our goal! And now a group of “Iskrentsi” and a group of “Novakovci” together, hand in hand, re-announced the Rhodopes with people from this region and celebrated the Savior’s Day properly.
Thank you to everyone who has contributed and is contributing every day to our common garden where knowledge, education, support and inspiration are the seeds we plant together and grow forward in time!
The activities of the Foundation continue in the coming months in Novakovo, Iskra, Topolovo, Plovdiv and other towns in the region, and everyone is welcome!
