The last months of this year’s calendar are full of emotions, dancing and Bulgarian folklore with the Novakovtsi Folk Dance Group!
Every Friday, the magic of traditions, customs and Bulgarian spirituality and culture captivate the participants through the Bulgarian “horo”dances from Trakia area, Pirin mountain, Rhodope Mountain, Shopluk area, Northern Bulgaria.
Young people from the town of Plovdiv and the region met with the representatives of the group, who are also local residents who have preserved the strength and beauty of authentic folklore and passed on the traditions, customs and values of their mothers, fathers, grandmothers and grandfathers. Together we studied the Bulgarian ‘’horo” dances , shared stories from the past, went back in the years, but also in the everyday life of one of the guardians of the family, the roots.
The meetings of the group “Novakovtsi” are organized and realized with the unreserved support and assistance of the mayor of the village Novakovo and the Cultural house “Hristo Botev 1928” with chairman – Vili Atanasova, and secretary Spaska Kaloferova!
