On April 13 /Saturday/ from 10:00 a.m. in the village of Novakovo, a unique educational event was held with the topic: “In the footsteps of youth activism”, which included an activities to improve the space of the park in the center of the village with engagement of young people and residents of neighboring villages and towns.
During the day, the participants went through the roles:
– Me as a citizen;
– Me as a volunteer;
– Me as an activist.
During the event, the participants discussed the topics of civic engagement, volunteering and the role of every citizen as an activist and a factor in the development of society.
The event started with educational activities related to the nature, role and importance of youth participation and volunteering, the role of the active citizen in the decision-making process. After the training sessions, an action was held to improve the park, located in the center of the village – painting benches, cleaning seed beds planting them with plants, a symbol of the active civic participation of young people.
In this way, the aim is to create a sustainable vision of unity and unification of society, following the line of civic participation and inclusion of young people in the decision-making process.
The event marks the European Youth Week 2024 as a “Eurodesk” multiplayer program of the Center for Human Resources Development.
The activity is also implemented with the support of the Mayor of the village of Novakovo and Community House “Hristo Botev -1928”.
