Volunteers from Foundation “Garden of Cognition” Eda and Gina managed to implement their volunteer initiative “Do Good, Recieve Good” funded by the association “Big Brother, Big Sister – Bulgaria”. The first part of the initiative was held in the period 28.10. – 02.11.2024 during one of the youth exchange sessions between Foundation “Garden of Cognition” and the Irish organization “Kerry Diocesan Youth Service (KDYS)”, where participants from both the Bulgarian and Irish groups were volunteers in the initiative “Do Good, Recieve Good”. They made cards, candlesticks and various types of Christmas decorations, which were sold during the period 14-15 December at the Charity Christmas Bazaar organized by “Youth Center Plovdiv”, and the funds raised will go to support a small but strong girl – Ada Ferad, a 3rd grade student at the “Hristo G. Danov” Secondary School in Plovdiv, who is fighting the serious disease non-Hodgkin lymphoma (a type of cancer that affects blood cells). We hope that little Ada and her family will soon receive good news about her well-being!
