Mentorship Program
In 2025, the Garden of Cognition Foundation and the Ignatov Family Foundation united around a shared mission—to work together to improve the well-being of small communities and expand access to quality education for children and young people with limited opportunities.
Inspired and motivated to create meaningful change, the two organizations developed and implemented several educational programs across Bulgaria. Together, they focus on building communities of young people who can contribute to lasting social impact and positive change in society.
They launched the programs “Support for the Future: University Scholarship Program” and “Skills for the Future”, providing young people with financial assistance and mentorship while pursuing a long-term vision of creating a shared learning environment that promotes experiential and lifelong learning.
Participants in these programs take part in a structured mentoring process that supports not only their academic and professional development but also the growth of their self-confidence, personal motivation, and decision-making skills. Each young participant has the opportunity to work with a mentor—an inspiring professional with practical experience who shares knowledge, encourages personal growth, and provides guidance in setting and achieving both personal and professional goals.
The mentoring process is built on mutual trust, respect, and open communication. Through regular meetings, practical guidance, and the exchange of experience, participants develop essential skills such as critical thinking, leadership, effective communication, teamwork, adaptability, and responsibility. The program empowers young people to become proactive, resourceful, and confident in shaping their educational and career paths.
We believe that lasting change begins with investing in each individual. That is why mentoring is an integral part of our programs—it creates an environment where young people gain knowledge, inspiration, and the confidence to unlock their full potential and become agents of positive change within their communities.
