Eurodesk is a European youth information network established in 1990. As a supporting organization for Erasmus+, Eurodesk makes information about educational mobility comprehensive and accessible to young people and those working with them.
With a network of 39 Eurodesk centers connected to local information providers in 37 European countries, Eurodesk increases awareness of European opportunities and encourages young people to become active citizens. Eurodesk brings together over 3000 so-called “multipliers and ambassadors” who are regional or local organizations working with young people, providing information to youth and advising them on mobility opportunities. To ensure the quality of services in all 37 countries, Eurodesk offers its members quality training and support, as well as access to information services and tools for young people.
There are over 3000 Eurodesk offices in Europe that provide information daily by phone, email, or in person. In Bulgaria, Eurodesk is part of the Human Resources Development Center and the Erasmus+ Program. The national network covers more than 20 regional points throughout the country. As a regional point of Eurodesk, we respond to young people’s inquiries on all topics that concern them.

In 2020, the development of the Digital Media Literacy Program began in partnership with the National Network of Youth Centers, the Applied Research and Communications Fund, and Norsensus MediaForum. A survey was conducted among young people to identify their current topics of interest and needs. Based on the survey results, a list of 12 topics was created, with the goal of identifying community solutions to issues in both large cities and small communities as identified by young people themselves.
Each of these topics was developed using non-formal education methods by a representative of the working group, following a logical sequence to develop various skills, including teamwork, critical thinking, and decision-making. The 13th theme introduced the method of forum theater, which served as the final lens through which to address a community issue. These topics were systematically organized into a comprehensive handbook for the program. The handbook is distributed freely among teachers, educational counselors, social workers, and youth workers.
The program’s aim is to empower young people with digital media literacy skills while addressing community issues through non-formal education methods. It encourages critical thinking, decision-making, and active engagement among young people in both urban and rural areas.
