On August 16, the folk dance groups of Foundation “Garden of Cognition” took part in the traditional assembly of the village of Iskra. An abundance of emotions, love for folklore and the Bulgarian folk people and a lot of excitement had conquered the hearts of “Iskrentsi” and “Novakovci”, who once again conveyed not only the spirit of the Bulgarian and his connection with the roots and the past, but the idea of unification and revival in small settlements.
The magical ringing of the Rhodope Momchilovsko Horo and the playful jump of the Easter Rachenica, presented by the group “Iskrentsi”, as well as the Tropanoto Horo and the Pirin Horo of the “Novakovtsi” group, filled the Iskra Square and did not miss anyone’s audience’s heart. Caught together, hand in hand, resounding fields and forests, charging with positivity and hope, they finished the program with the Thracian Horotropic Dance.
We thank the groups for the unceasing enthusiasm and boundless power and desire with which they shower us at every rehearsal! We are happy to have been recognized by them as like-minded in the common mission with which we create, unite, create, upgrade, develop and inspire!
The meetings of the groups continue in the following weeks every Saturday with free and open access to anyone who wishes:
– from 18:00 in the community center of the village of Iskra with the group “Iskrentsi”;
– from 19:30 on the square of the village of Novakovo or the hall of the pensioner’s club in the village of Novakovo with the group “Novakovtsi”.
